I went to The Last Word for the second time and my friend and I enjoyed it. We ordered the Charcuterie board and I had the Red Sangria and both were fantastic. This visit we got enough bread toasts to go with the Charcuterie versus three when we had it a few weeks ago. Thank you to the owners who read my Yelp review and addressed my concerns by serving an adequate amount of bread toasts with the Charcuterie. I hope the owners will change the days they offer happy hour since we went on Friday and it is only on Wednesday and Thursday from 4 - 6. We came for happy hour, but we ordered the Charcuterie board which was pricey ($28), but good. A big shout out to one of their servers, Jelani, who was our server the first time we went to The Last Word. She recognized us and came to our table to say hello. She was so friendly and customer server oriented, we will look for her when (not if) we return on Wednesday or Thursday for happy hour!
Cute place to hang out especially during the holidays as everything is decked out in Christmas. They have a holiday drink menu too. The service was mid, the girl working there the night we were there was scatterbrained and didn't really tend to our table. The food itself needed salt. And flavor. The mac and cheese was watered down, didn't have any flavor at all and tasted like noodles in water, and I didn't really spot or taste any lobster to warrant the upcharge. The meatballs and cauliflower apps were also very bland. The best thing by far is their desserts. Overall I would come again as the drinks felt strong (not one to drink so it felt strong to me) and the desserts were solid. If you opt to get food I would just ask for salt or hot sauce.
Came here to the last R&B brunch of the year. Reservation for four. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated promptly inside. Admiring cute candy cane lane. We started with a carafe of guava mimosa. Then gave our orders along with having an I wanna be a melon-aire shot. We ordered the hangover sandwich, breakfast tacos, pork belly Benedict, and a meat lovers burrito. We got our food and ordered a carafe of mango mimosa. The hangover sandwich, breakfast tacos, and pork belly benedict were good. The one who had the meat lovers burrito mentioned it was okay but could use more chorizo. We perfectly ended our brunch with a sparkling strawberry kiss shot. They really sparkle. I likes. Love how the bill comes in a mini Dr Seuss book. And couldn't help notice I'm not the only one who was hoping for Hennessy on the menu. Hahaha. To sum it up.. the food was good. The drinks were yum. The music was good. We had lots of fun. Looking forward to next year for the next r&b brunch.
I came here with a large group as a recommendation from my friend, who lives locally. We opted for indoors, as it was a chilly evening. What a cute spot! It's decorate nicely and very aesthetic. I got a grasshopper and omg, it was strong. It was not delicious, but we powered through. It was cute, but I wouldn't subject myself to that again. There was a hot butterscotch drink that was delicious, though!
I love a good cocktail bar and this place doesn't disappoint! They have a great mix of classic and creative cocktails covering a range that will suit any taste. Prices are reasonable. The varied seating means you can find someplace comfortable for what you're looking for, whether that be to listen to the live music inside or have a little peace and quiet outside. The bar tender was attentive and quick!
Had a wonderful time with my colleagues here. I really enjoyed the great vibes, music and the great service provided! It was a joy to catch up with coworkers I haven't seen in a while from near and far. Will for sure be returning to this establishment. "A round of tequila shots pls! Lol"
What a great way to finish off the night from watching a show next door at the Bankhead Theatre. We watched the Toby Keith Tribute band, songs performed by Hollywood. The drinks were strong, the fire table blasted us with warmth and the company was fantastic. We only stayed for 1 drink, so we will be coming back for a meal and beverages the next time. Service was a 10/10!!
Fabulous dinner tonight. We had the lobster paella for 3 (it fed 4), patatas bravas, a cheese plate, the chicken skewers and drinks and dessert (churros). Everything was so good. And we have food allergies and these folks know what is in their food! How amazing is that? So if you have an allergy you are safe here. They will be able to tell you what is safe. Also, your meal will be fantastic. Wonderful service and atmosphere as well.
Such a cute spot! They serve tapas, main meals and drinks. We came on a Friday night and were seated quickly. They have an inside and outdoor seating area. Inside they have a large bar and have music playing. Very fun environment and the food and drinks were great. All the staff were very friendly and attentive to us. Will be back for drinks and to try more items on their menu.
This place has the best vibe when it comes to gasteopubs in Livermore downtown! We absolutely love the service here! Drinks are top notch with a HUGE variety! All so yum! Tapas are small but so delicious and flavorful! Our favourites are the Chicken & Beef skewers, Mushroom Croquetas, Shrimp with bread & the Charcuterie. SO good! The servers are so friendly, considerate and polite, that actually take time to make you feel comfy and enjoy your experience. The Last Word is definitely on the top our list on Friday nights when we're at Livermore downtown!
